It is strange how a person can continue to live a down-in-the-dumps life after knowing Christ. This cannot be! If Christ promise a life of peace and joy in him, then a truly converted life is one that is dynamic, active, going on to higher ground, unless of course a person claims to be in Christ but never really knew this God who loves him. If a person never really knew God yet persisted in the outward forms, perhaps then it would manifest itself in the lethargy, dryness, even joylessness in participating in these outward forms - which would probably be legalism right? Simply doing something that is right.
To drink deeply from the fountain of life, one must enter into a real relationship with Him. To be real, i must love Him more than anything else. Nothing less. It is a RELATIONSHIP - no way one can be two-timing.
